HTTP 413. Payload too large.

When you see it

The request body is over 4 MB. On POST /v1/attachments/upload and POST /v1/inbox/upload with the file as the raw body: the file is over 50 MB, the apps’ own limit (refused from its Content-Length, before it is read).

What to do

Split the write. A to-do’s description or a note’s body may alone be up to 100,000 characters, so this is usually a batch that grew. A file of more than about 3 MB goes to the upload routes as the raw body, not base64 in JSON; one over 50 MB cannot be stored, in the apps either.
